One of Pinter's earliest works, The Hothouse is a viciously funny send-up of bureaucratic ineptitude and indifference.
On Christmas Day the Staff of a mental hospital wrestles with the troubling questions:
When did Patient 6457 die?
Who got Patient 6459 pregnant?
Which of them won the duck in the canteen raffle?
Is it a dead duck?
Which of them will survive the patient uprising?

This is the second production of The Hothouse presented by Longacre Lea but it is not a remount.
We return to this excellent and under-produced play by one of the greatest living absurdists to revisit
the too-timely issues of systemic indifference and inhumanity.
